Any time I've ordered anything, it's come very quickly. Books are
the same as you'd get anywhere else, and their CD's have always been
completely functional.

Yup... well, technically, I do *have* a 505752K DOS partition,
just that it's completely empty. One of these days I intend to
put all my old DOS stuff on it, and configure dosemu again so I
can run GeoWorks and a few other old DOS favorites again...
As to actually booting to DOS, I doubt I'll ever do that
again. I'm completely spoiled by being able to download from
three to five different places at once, while simultaneously
compiling a kernel and recording a song.
Just a few minutes ago, I was downloading DRDOS 7.03, along with
associated files, CARDS.ZIP and PNWTUTOR.IMG. While those three
things were downloading, setiathome was running, and I was reading
e-mail... not to mention fetchmail was running in the background
checking for new mail for me at three locations every 444 seconds,
and at two locations for my wife every 777 seconds.
MySQL, pop, http, ftp, news, and telnet servers are also
running in the background.
You can't even come close to that kind of multi-tasking
in NT, never mind Windows or DOS.

Well, I have no idea what file systems OS/2 can communicate with,
but Linux can read and write to quite a list of them.

Why?

xv, GIMP, GQView, Electric Eyes and zgv are the graphics
viewers/editors I have installed. I suspect most of them can
view a greater variety than PICTVIEW can. :-)
