This would only be evil, if JavaScript were a proprietary technique which
could only be used with M$ Windows.
This is _NOT_ the case.
JavaScript is an open standard, and anybody can implement it !!!
Active X is EVIL and M$ infected Java as well. (both run _ONLY_ on
windows)
Java case:
Sun invented a (not too fast ;) completely platform INDEPENDANT language.
This was the nightmare of M$ ...
you could use the same program on many platforms, and you would NOT need
windows ....
What did M$ do ??
Try to establish a variant of Java which lost it's platform independence
... eg it directly used Win32 API ...
Thanks god SUN sued them and won ...

Take also another look at opera ... IMHO it also fits on a disk. (without
Java support, but with javaScript support)
