Many thanks to Jake and Richard for suggesting that I give Opera
a try. I downloaded the free version of their 5.02 release. The
download was only 2.1 megabytes. Installation was a snap. I dialed
up and successfully connected on the first attempt. I accessed my
online banking logon screen, typed in my login data, and I was in like
Flynn.

Also I went on to read their customer service information bulletins which
state that there is no way you can get in without the latest and greatest
versions of MSIE or Netscape. It won't be over until the Fat Lady sings!

All the best,

Sam Heywood
