B.P.O.E.   Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks.  The Moose and the
Elks are mostly social clubs for men. They have clubhouses and
facilities for holding dinners and other gatherings. They also have
club rituals. 

Other "lodges" included the Knights of the Pythias, the Odd Fellows,
the Maccabees. All now extinct, I believe. Funny hats and costumes.
