yes, this seems to be normal. Of course You have a high speed connection
to the web but the other thing is that the web itself sometimes is very
slow. You won't see this with a modem but with a fast connection the
responsing times of servers and nodes will be more visible. Best speed I
got was 88 kB/s, which is near the maximum of 96 kB/s with my
connection.
