Well, Gregg, different people have different preferances. I'm lazy,
dislkike sorting, often don't have time to move stuff to different
folders, etc. Keeping the Inbox empty requires effort. Having the
index go to the last unread  message could be automatic and require
no effort at all. I like stuff like that. Let the computer do the
work.

I once had three thousand messages in my Pine inbox and it didn't
slow things down at all. 

Please remember that I've said that new features should always be
options. You can have it your way and I can have it mine.
