Sadly, no, rebooting did not fix my issue after installing the older version 
of libgphoto2.

I like the old version better because it allows me to at least add the camera 
whereas the new verion 2.1.99-2 doesn't even let me add the camera to 
Digikam.

So I will use that for now while I poke around a bit and see what is going on.

Anyone else have any ideas?
