I must say I really don't see why we have all this fuss going: A website is a just a website. The guy decided to have his (and those who liked it will follow it) and the other guys decided to have theirs. Ok, they both talk to "the archlinux community" but it is not like their voice is the voice OF the archlinux community. If I had anything with this situation I'd say: list both pages wherever they're listed and let the user make their choice. What we have now is much the same as flaming anyone who creates a new distribution (or who refuses to merge their older distribution with a new one) just because they're "dividing the linux community"...nonsense! They had a fight, they had their problems, and I don't think we should mess with it. They are all grown up and can take care of their own. The users have every right to choose whatever they want for themselves, without the archlinux community trying to force one choice down their throat. That said, one thing I would like to say directly t o Benoit. Although I never thought one team was right or wrong (I can't really read french so I can't see the "facts" both side posted) you're doing a great job in LOOKING wrong. Dude... chill out and stop offending people. It doesn't matter if you think they're stupid, keep it for yourself while in the mail list or please shut up. The Archlinux mail list is not for that. And quit with the "fucking" stuff also. You don't have to be courteous with the ones you're talking to if you don't like, but you have to do it on the mail list since we don't wanna read this kind of low-level discussion here. I believe most of the readers of this mail list would agree with those last words. Best regards, and leave them live their lives without us messing, Alexandre Moreira. > > _______________________________________________ > arch mailing list > [email protected] > http://archlinux.org/mailman/listinfo/arch > _______________________________________________ arch mailing list [email protected] http://archlinux.org/mailman/listinfo/arch
