James, thanks for your quick responses. I was just going to reply to your other message.
I ran javaws.exe and selected 'About' and strangely enough it still shows Version 1.5.0_06, which is strange since I uninstalled that version and the directory does not even exist. I manually pointed it to C:\Sun\AppServer\jdk in the Preferences but that does not seem to make a difference. I don't want to uninstall Midtier, Tomcat and JDK and then reinstall unless absolutely necessary.
