Jaime

you missed another important functional and architectural change,
AR Server is no longer Native - C process but its ServerJ now. This is a very
important change in the platform side.

There hasn't been any new UI functionality added to Remedy 9, everything UI
based is being moved into Smart IT. The big updates in Remedy 9 includes the
following:

Smart Reporting
Archiving
Full Java Plugins
Workflow & data Elevation tool
On-boarding Wizard for Data Load utility
Restful APIs
Pre-built CMDB integrations for ADDM & SCCM
CMDB permission updates
Other CMDB improvements

Below are direct links to BMC Docs for the enhancements in ARS, ITSM, & CMDB:
https://docs.bmc.com/docs/display/public/ars9000/BMC+Remedy+AR+System+enhancements+in+version+9.0.00

Most of the BMC marketing and advertising screenshots or videos out there are
showing Smart IT and Smart Reporting. Not much of those videos are showing
Remedy itself. Some new improvements to Smart IT 1.1 (which was release with
Remedy 9) includes Change Management and RKM Administration and some
improvements to the Incident functionality. A few missing pieces with Smart IT
1.1 for Change is Change Collisions and Impact Simulation. I'm hoping they
include this functionality in their next release, which BMC has been
communicating they are looking to provide updates to Smart IT every 3-4 months.
So hopefully they have something new to show at Engage this year.
