I found that the new URL feature on the filter has a bug. I went into the new
SYS:Notification form and added the proper URL in the Body of the email.

Hi Rick,

Thanks again. Just to summarize.....you're currently receiving the .tsk file
and
the URL but you're users are unable to use the URL as it doesn't connect them
to
the correct source.

Our workaround is just to place the URL in the subject of the email
http://<servername>/arsys/home and then they can find the incident # in the
incident form. This seems like a step backward from using the client. Any other
ideas?

Sorry, that's a networking term.

Fully Qualified Domain Name = servername.domain.company.com
Short Name = servername

Hi Rick,

Thanks for the info. I'm more of an Application Administrator so I'm not too
familiar with the following:

"though the URL is to a FQDN"

Could you explain? Thanks Rick.

Ours has the URL and the .tsk file, Mark, though the URL is to a FQDN to the
Remedy server, which for some reason, our users can't connect to. I'd love
to know where I could make that use the short server name.

Subject: URL in email

Hi list,

We've migrated our old production forms to AR System Server 7.0. We are also
using Service Desk 7.0 in our development environment. We've also installed
the midtier and everything is working fine via the web.

I''ve noticed that when we submit incidents and the email notification has
been sent to the appropriate group/individual, the notification does not
have a URL link attached with it to bring the user to the appropriate
incident record via the web. It still has the client attachment record. I've
checked the filters and both shortcuts have been checked off. But it only
has the one attachment with the notification and that attachment when
clicked opens the client tool and brings us to the corresponding incident
record.

We want URL's in the email notification so people can be directed to the
incident record via the web when they click on the URL.

Any ideas how to do this?
