Axton,

Just to follow up on that...

On v6.3 the form/field that your talking about is "AR System User
Preference" and field 'Server Login List' correct?

BTW: I find that most records on my production system have a null
'Server Login List' data set. (Which is interesting and must be the
default behavior.)

Just to make sure I totally understand your formula... The Mid-Tier
config settings for
Home Page server = Preference Server (must be the same string)

And the user can login to any other server (also configured on the
Mid-tier) and ONLY see the server that their "AR System User
Preference" record points at? (Or does it have to be the same value as
the Mid-Tier Config setting for "Home Page server" or "Preference
Server" to only see one server name in the list?)

Maybe the Mid-Tier needs to have a kind of "IP-Names" setting for ARS
server aliases to allow for this kind of thing instead of needing to
configure the Mid-tier to talk to "multiple" ARS servers. ( Not to
mention needing to store the same password in multiple places on the
Mid-Tier and to change it in multiple places when it changes.)

( Thanks for the tip Axton.)
