You can extend the BO Universe to report on any table in the AR System database. You can also create joins between other data sources and the AR System tables. You can not independently report on external data sources without violating the OEM agreement that gets you Business Objects with BMC Analytics.
Out of the Box, Analytics has a pre-built universe to report on Service Desk, Asset, Change, CMDB, SLM, SRM.

**It looks like from BMC's pages that this can only generate reports for ITSM applications. Is that correct, or can it be used to report on anything on the ARS server?

Subject: Alternative to Crystal Reports_Platinum Sponsor: [email protected] ARSlist: "Where the Answers Are"__Platinum Sponsor: [email protected] ARSlist: "Where the Answers Are"_**HiQuick Question: I have heard there is another reporting tool (for use with Remedy) from Business Objects that is preferred by many over Crystal Reports. What is this called? I have forgotten...Does anyone have experience with it and could tell me if there are great advantages of using it?
