Shafqat, I would think using the Group Name is a better way to keep it straight but I have no idea how Remedy would act when sending out a notification when two groups have the same name. Now you can use the GID in your filter. I got this email one day. Then I looked at the ticket, I saw that some had place a 1 in the required 'email-address' field. On create, the email went to the Administrator group members.

This is the name that shows up in the Assigned Group field. The other problem is that he has named two groups the same for different companies. for example Company1->Org->Finance and Company2->Org->Finance. We are not using Multi-tenancy at the moment and it does not matter if people from one company can see incidents raised by the second company. My question is: what is the accepted wisdom for naming groups in ITSM ( we are using v7.1) and will this group naming scheme work for notifications.
