I just did CMDB 7.6 and it took about 38 hours, seriously.  I had
issues with the ARS server timing out, but it took it a while.  In the
end, the installation didn't install everything (Product Catalog), so
it's running again.

Are you using the silent install? I found that is easier to install
and you can put it to the background and monitor the progress tail-ing
the log files.

We are are on RHEL5 64-bit.
