Actually, was going to take a 5.0 Help Desk to 7.5 server. Just going to do a test to see how it does. If it can be done ok. If not, ditch and do a full 7.5. I just want to ditch the old and do the new.

I have not done this myself, but the move rom 5.0.1 to 6.3 was multi-step process and required a lot of lanning and testing. And from what I've gleened off of the ARS List, ou can't go directly to 7.x from 5.x. Does anybody know how long it would take? I just did CMDB 7.6 and it took about 38 hours, seriously. I had issues with the ARS server timing out, but it took it a while. In the end, the installation didn't install everything (Product Catalog), so it's running again. Are you using the silent install? I found that is easier to install and you can put it to the background and monitor the progress tail-ing the log files. We are are on RHEL5 64-bit.
