You are correct, and maybe I wasn't totally clear but I'd never advocate giving write access to anyone, and I'd also never turn over the ARAdmin password either. The other danger in even giving DB level access to end users is that they could write queries that cause locking issues and such, causing performance problems and possibly even errors if Remedy tries to write to a record that the user already has locked in their query.
