Saji,

I believe you can configure Orion to call a perl script that sends a SOAP
message into a Remedy web service. From there you can have custom staging
form that pulls in data from other forms (i.e. product category info from
CMDB on the affected asset to do automatic assignment) and then submits it
to the HPD:IncidentInterface_Create form. We do something similar and it
works like a charm.

Subject: Creating Trouble tickets automatically

**

Hey, Listers

Maybe this has been discussed previously, and I have been
searching to find some answers. But I wanted to ask, has anyone designed
something to generate a trouble tickets in Remedy from alerts from a network
monitoring tool?

I am tasked to find a away to integrate Solarwinds/Orion to
generate tickets on event alerts coming from this NMS. They do not like
using Remedies e-mail engine for this purpose. SNMP traps, APIs, etc..

Any advice or clue would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Saji
