Is this a one time pull for just a single ticket, or looking to integrate into your current ARS Environment?
If you're looking at a one time pull, simply run a SQL select script on the DB to get the data you need, then export it. If you're looking for an ongoing integration or real-time adhoc lookup capability, you can setup a DB Link between the databases (if they are equivalent platform) and build a View form against the table. At that point you can build workflow and treat it as a regular Remedy form. I'm looking at possible ways of achieving this. I have the old database but no longer have the server. The system used to be ARS6.3/ITSM5.5 Win2k/SQL2005. I have the old ticket number... I was thinking of building a vendor form to utilize the view = dbo.HPD_HelpDesk , but unsure how successful this will be. Maybe there is a better way? I'll start playing with this next week. If you have been tasked with something similar in the past, please chime in.. Thank you, Marcelo _______________________________________________________________________________ UNSUBSCRIBE or access ARSlist Archives at www.arslist.org attend wwrug11 www.wwrug.com ARSList: "Where the Answers Are" _______________________________________________________________________________ UNSUBSCRIBE or access ARSlist Archives at www.arslist.org attend wwrug11 www.wwrug.com ARSList: "Where the Answers Are"
