I think I understand what you were trying to do but don't understand at what
point you meant the list goes up that you need to scroll down to see the box
containing the ellipses to select the fields. I do not see it happening that
way - the only annoying thing I see is in the regular pane mode of the AL I
need to click the down arrow key of the scroll bar once, to go a row below
to see the empty row so I can click the box with the ellipses to expose the
available list of fields yet to be set.

That annoyance goes away if I maximize the AL creation pane, and use it that
way (maximized), or if after maximizing it, I restore it to the regular pane
size. When I do this, I automatically get an empty row at the bottom of the
list from which I can continue building my field list in the set field
action without having to scroll either up or down.

I'm not disputing when it started. I'm simply pointing out that it still
isn't fixed in 8.1 so that...

1. Those upgrading are aware

2. In hopes that this can be a lazy-man's bug ticket to BMC people who
monitor this list

#2 appears to have been achieved. We'll see if it is patched.

I thought it Dev Studio has always done this? Since 7.5.

It has been doing that since the 7.6.04 release

** Sorry Ray, all I can do is join in with you on the annoyance, if you log
a bug or communities idea on this, let me know and I'll vote for it out John

When you go to click the next line down, the whole annoying process repeats
again.

quit resetting to the top of the list. If I have a LONG list of fields to
set, this is pretty darn time-costly with all the clicking and scrolling
back and forth.
