I have an email post or 2 on Dark in the Park. Love it. What you mentioned about kids...I hate that. Does anybody remember laughter? (bad led zep quote) I think that kids today, unfortunately don't know what they are missing. It's all about cell phones, and the internet, and being hip. Crap, that makes me sound old. Sometimes, when I drive around Asbury, I wonder where all the recreation is for the kids. I don't see much going on with Little League, but I know it must be there because I recently donated money to that. I'm glad that there's a mini-golf now, but that' s really not much to offer. I work in Bay Head, and sometimes at lunch I head over to the boardwalk for a stroll, and I just love the sounds and smells of it. Once upon a time, many many years ago, I composed and performed music on the AP boardwalk for a performance called Paint Tease. Part of the performance consisted of me recreating the missing sounds of the boardwalk, from the pop of toy guns in the arcades, to the low end roar of a rollar coaster, screams of children, the music from a merry go round. It was weird and ghostly, because I had this huge soundscape going on in the night air, but it was just sound on a mostly deserted boardwalk. Jack
