India from view of NR-EYE
Recently I happened to crush on discussion with 2 of my friends - one is NRI, another ex-NRI & now working back in India. Topic was, is India the right place for us (professionals) ? I reproduce the views expressed by them - 1. There is lot of pollution 2. India is overpopulated 3. There is lot of corruption in every field. You cannot go ahead without greasing the palms. 4. There is no customer friendly approach even in private companies. 5. You have to struggle for each & every small thing in public life. 6. Infrastructure is at its worst - pathetic roads, electricity, water. 7. Politicians have hijacked whole country to meet their ends. 8. Indian society is highly caste-religion-region divided. 9. Indians are arrogant in social life 10. Indians are best in playing politics at work. People come across lots of gruesome experiences of mental torture. 11. Indians are unhygienic in social life. They don't care about spitting, peeing, trashing anywhere in public place. 12. Law & order situation is collapsed. 13. Cost of living has gone thru the roof in many metros-mini metros. 14. Salaries don't increase correspondingly. 15. There is nothing worth anymore to stay in India, since it is only our family/ parents/ native place is there. Instead it is better to move from India along with family (read wife-kids). You need to be emotional about your country, your place, your relatives - since they are not going to fill your empty stomach. You need to be practical in life. 16. If you cannot get from your country what you deserve, why should you care ? In light of above they suggested me to stay away from India and look for some green pasture.
