Because (RP) was included (as opposed to (CV), haha), I didn't confuse the usage. But, yes, American English has a habit of omitting accents and, therefore, lends to the confusion. Interestingly enough, spell it "resumay" in WORD and you'll be prompted with the accented and unaccented versions to choose from during spell check. ;-)
