It was on the Wiki Configuration page:
http://www.asspsmtp.org/wiki/Configuration

But I don't get it. I had understood the Clients to be anyone sending
email - be it an external MTA, or any email client (ie: Outlook Express,
Eudora, etc) that was using the mail server to relay their mail. For
example, I send all my email through my org's mail server by connecting to
port 25 on the mail server, or port 465(SSL) if port 25 is blocked by my
ISP. I never use my ISP's mail server to send outgoing mail.

If it is not the case where a Client is defined as an external email client
(ie: Outlook Express), how does ASSP whitelist outgoing mail? Not to
mention why would email be going from the Internet->ASSP->Mail
Server->External MTA. I would have thought that's what the "Internet" part
of that sequence was representing.

If I am understanding you correctly, an ASSP installation should be
sandwiched between two MTAs.
Internet -> ASSP -> Mail Server -> Mail Client (Eudora, etc)
Mail Client (Eudora) -> Mail Server -> ASSP -> Relay Server -> Internet

Furthermore, apart from Lotus Notes / Exchange clients, why would it be a
bad thing to route internal email through ASSP anyhow?

Thanks,

Eric
