None that I have encountered, but this daemontools thing looks sketchy :) Given there are so many that run ASSP, I would lean against your setup. I am not advanced in Perl, but I do know it's a large program (matter of perspective I guess) that leverages some lower level routines that could cause some instability compared to a Perl script that leverages a print statement with one string... That's not at all to suggest ASSP is unstable, yet to suggest on a system with some issues it is more likely to be problematic versus the simple script mentioned.
