I'm surprised they pushed out 5.10 like that considering the number of 
modules still unsupported.

The problem with Perl 5.10 is not the language itself but that the 
modules ASSP uses were/are not compatible with version 5.10.

I've had ASSP 1.3.3.8 running with Perl 5.10 on win32 since all its 
modules are compatible, though the Win32-Daemon module is Beta.
