that is exactly the case but ASSP is installed on same machine as the
Domino SMTP server, is it possible in this case for ASSP to be a
smarthost. If yes how do i setup ASSP to become the smarthost?

to the final recipient ? If that's the case then just setup the "smtp"
Domino
to use ASSP as its smarthost; otherwise you may setup things so that the
ASSP will sit "in front" of Domino getting all SMTP connections and then
forwarding them to the Domino SMTP engine
At any rate; could you please expand your setup a little and explain how
the machine are "connected" and interoperating ?
