Also another issue I had with schedule cron, was ASSP abuse and overuse of it to check itself for its own resource, CPU and memory usage. I fail to see why ASSP needs a self monitoring task. I did not see any options to disable that UNWANTED task. It seems quite unnecessary as very few programs if any monitor themselves like such. To me it says there is a problem if ASSP needs to keep such an eye on its own resource usage. None the less that did cause problems, bugs outside the issues with rebuilding spam db. I cannot say I had a single good experience with the schedule cron module enabled/installed for ASSP to use. That definitely caused issues for me such to the point I stopped using it. After I went out of my way to make an ebuild so it would be installable on Gentoo outside of CPAN or direct install. If ASSP needs such a monitoring task, it should like rebuildspamdb be its own program that is invoked separately of assp. But again ASSP should not really need to monitor itself for such. I did not see it taking any action based on those checks. I can re-enable/re-install schedule cron and report back with direct issues. -- William L.
