if your into sip and all codec flavours i have the hack for the
linksys-pap2 you
get at futureshop/staples :)

Thanks guys. I guess I'll order the SPA-3000. Otherwise, I'll be
waiting too long to get Asterisk up and running. Too bad the GNET
unit doesn't work that well, but I guess you get what you pay for.
Just because the SPA-3000 is Linksys doesn't mean it will work OK
either but I gather that Sipura had a good reputation before they
were bought out.

Hello John:
Are you saying don't buy the box? I just ordered one for home so I
can finally get an Asterisk server into production but now I am
thinking that I should cancel. Does it seem like GVC is working on
the problem at all? Several vendors carry that adapter it seems.
There don't seem to be any reviews online though. I like the PSTN
fallback option also. Would any other boxes have that? I haven't
seen any. The firmware is switchable also. You can change to the
SIP version for instance. Their phones do that as well I noticed.

I have not yet figured out if I would purchase one again or not. My plan
is to try a SIP device (Polycom 500) and if it works fine then I'm going
to try a Sipura. They have a SIP model that does the failover I think.
If either of those works with good sound quality I'll never buy a GVC
again.
Also I have not worked through GVC support on this.
