  A good tool that I've used is Ghost 4 Linux. 

  It's a bootable CD, only trick sometimes is making sure which drive is which 
before you do the disk copy.

  With it you can do disk->disk copy, disk->disk image or partition to 
partition, either local or to an ftp server.
