ZoIPer still offers an older version of the Idefisk software for download here: http://www.zoiper.com/zwin.php
The zip file allows you to download and extract, edit the config for the client you're deploying to, and repackage the zip (maybe even in a self-extracting EXE for ease of use). Then there's no config on the client side except for FW issues (which I've never had to do, so long as the extension is setup to use NAT). Even if you do need to deal with firewall problems, it's IAX so it's all one port. I keep getting hit with a sudden demand for setting up VoIP Clients at people`s homes. I`m using X-Lite SIP client and it seems to always work but it takes fair amount of time and effort to remotely access, install, maybe fix firewall issues, etc... There must be something out there that would make it easier to setup... especially if the person could just download and install. Or go to a web site where the client is web based. I don`t mind switching to IAX if it means making this a lot easier. Suggestions welcomed! Regards, Chuck M
