Leif,

TigerDirect now carries the E61I unlocked.

If you listen to The Daily Source Code, you'd be familiar with Adam Curry, he had the E61i then went to the iPhone, used it for about 6 weeks and has gone back to the E61i. Now he's in the UK but flies to teh US every second week and swaps out the sim. He also carries a Nokia N800 ( running the debian based maemo ), leaves the E61i in his pocket and untilizes the bluetooth connection to surf the net and uses skype ( http://share.skype.com/sites/garage/2007/09/skype_on_nokia_n800_update.html ) . The E61i comes with it's own sip client installed.

If you can live with symbian as your os the Nokia E61I (note the i) is decent.

Agreed. I own this phone and it's awesome. Make sure to get the 'i'
version, as it is upgraded and the casing is much better. I imported
mine from Europe via a US company. www.cti-miami.com I think was the
website.
