Kyocera has a 3G router that is available. I tested it out before and it
worked great with regular data traffic. I have never tested it with VoIP
traffic.

The router will handle VoIP without too much issue except for QoS which I
don't think it will have....But the issue will be with the 3G provider.
Often I have found that certain ports will be blocked on 3G service with the
major companies, and even in the fine print of the contract I have seen it
written that you will not use their data service for Voice applications (so
they can force you to use their phone services)

Do a search for the Kyocera KR1 and KR2 router and you may find what you are
looking for.

Subject: [on-asterisk] 3G Routers for Rogers or other Canada wide provider?

I keep seeing 3G Routers popping up in the US market place but haven't seen
anything in Canada. Does anyone know of any in the Canadian Marketplace
(Rogers preferred)? Anyone have any experience?

I want to share a connection with about 10-15 computers via a wireless B/G.

Does anyone know if a service like this would support VoIP (SIP)?

As well, it appears that these work using a laptop card (PC Card?)

Can I put in a SIM card from a phone with a data plan it it?

Any suggested hardware? (DD-WRT!?!)

I currently use Roger's Portable Internet but finding a signal can be
problematic at different locations.

Regards,

Chuck
