The very latest ( 1.4.16.1 ) Asterisk, if that is your source, has a broken ENUM , in case anyone uses it.
They broke it starting in 1.4.14

I just uploaded some images I built today from the asterisk-beta branch. This is the branch that contains the latest Asterisk 1.4 code.

There are some issues that we're still working out.

For example, right now res_snmp does not work properly. You need to edit /etc/asterisk/modules.conf to noload res_snmp.so or Asterisk will not start.

These image files are runnix images. To load them, follow the instructions here:
