Martin,

If the directory /mnt/kd/rc.conf.d/ exists then the file /mnt/kd/ 
rc.conf is not used.  The new web interface uses (creates) the /mnt/kd/ 
rc.conf.d/ directory.

(There is no ZAPOPTS variable in astLinux, perhaps you mean ZAPMODS)

If you want to define ZAPMODS in the Network tab, click on the [Edit  
User Config...] button under the "Advanced Configuration" section, and  
define the ZAPMODS variables (and any others) with appropriate values.
