Hi, all, To rebuild my CF, I used the astlinux-0.6.1-via.img.gz image from Darrick's website.
After which, the configuration files worked great. Any changes via the webpage would be replicated after every reboot. Unfortunately, two important configurations cannot be changed after the rebuild. Firstly, htpasswd /var/www/admin/.htpasswd admin returned an /etc/shadow issue as did passwd. I understand that this is a current issue and located previous mention of the same issue dating March of this year and located the "fix" for this was to change a line in the astlinux-0.6.1-via*run.conf to be asturo=/dev/hd*2 asturw=/dev/hd*2 instead of asturo=auto asturw=auto. This allowed the configuration files to remain AND the ability to change the password to root and htpasswd. If anybody would like this to be explained better, please advise. I just thought this way will be easier. The entries are now keeping.. so meh.. :) Thanks for all your help though. -----Original Message----- From: Lonnie Abelbeck [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Monday, 20 October 2008 8:35 AM To: AstLinux Users Mailing List Subject: Re: [Astlinux-users] editting /oldroot/mnt/asturw files On Oct 19, 2008, at 4:08 PM, Clara Chan wrote: > Hi, Lonnie, > > Thank you for the prompt reply. > > When I submitted " ls -l /tmp/etc/asterisk", I get a list of files > instead of telling me where it should be pointed. This would imply that /mnt/kd/asterisk/ does not exist. When you used "genunion" to create /mnt/kd/ and saw the text: | To create a new key disk structure on your new unionfs partition, | type yes followed by the Enter key. Press any other key to exit. | | If you are new to Astlinux, you will want to say yes." If your "genunion" went as expected, the following: pbx ~ # ls /mnt/kd/ astdb crontabs home ssh voicemail asterisk dnsmasq.leases lost+found rc.conf cdr-csv dnsmasq.static monitor tftpboot webgui-prefs.txt (roughly) should appear.
