ok, here is your lovely solution. Android phones some of them have slide out full keyboards. now, there are a couple things the touchscreen is for, but they are pretty easy with the eyes free shell. in fact the accessibility api in android has keyboard related hotkeys come to think of it. So, it's doable. I am trying to think of how i can get that demonstrated since mine doesnt have a keyboard. I will ask a friend of mine. I am still too skittish to try it because I can't figure out how I would handle typing in things without a blu tooth keyboard and that would add expense. I am using a Nokia 6650 with mobile speaks until they offer a vesion with a keyboard built in.
