you have to download it from the market but its free
you need a sighted person to enter your gmail stuff, then download spiel then
go to settings enable accessibility and spiel then you can do the rest.
do you have a gmail address, if you dont ya need one.
Make sure it has a d-pad arrow keys trackpad or somethin similar. a slide out
keyboard would be handy oh and make sure its runnin android 2.2 otherwise some
accessibility wont work.
If you got questions contact info is in my signature.
If i don't know the answer, i will find it.
but yeah, the touchscreen aint all bad. bout like typing on the iphone, i am
gettin better by the day.
somethings you will need the touchscreen example accessing the status section.
take your finger while in the eyes free shell which btw is easy to get and
install. put your finger by the earpiece of the phone, slide it down to the
bottom of the screen then use the d-pad or whatever to scroll down. trackballs
work too.
the comet has this little round thing that is a four way directional or d-pad
with a select button in the center. if your phone doesnt have dedicated call
and end buttons, you need to enable somethin in accessibility that lets the
power button in a call end the call. now, answering idk how to do that without
a dedicated call button. tink ya just slide your finger around.
will test that.

ok, here is your lovely solution.
Android phones some of them have slide out full keyboards.
now, there are a couple things the touchscreen is for, but they are pretty
easy with the eyes free shell. in fact the accessibility api in android has
keyboard related hotkeys come to think of it.
    So, it's doable.
I am trying to think of how i can get that demonstrated since mine doesnt
have a keyboard.
I will ask a friend of mine.

Actually, If you are signing up for a two year contrafct, the Ifone is 98
I think. I am still too skittish to try it because I can't figure out how I
would handle typing in things without a blu tooth keyboard and that would add
expense. I am using a Nokia 6650 with mobile speaks until they offer a vesion
with a keyboard built in. Using voice commands can be problematic if there is
background noise.
