yeah, thanks for the feedback.

yes the racks are open at the back, they are just bent sheets of steel,
(thick sheets) the amp doesnt really heat up at all, which was most
upsetting during that last cold patch of weather, i used to be able to
warm myself nicely with loud music and a solid state power amp... grin
i think the biggest heat producer will be the infrant nas.


yes you are correct, they are the speakers (i may have modeled them a
little large and bulky.. i'll tone that down.) 
as for power yes you may be right there too, i am a little nervous
about that myself. The amp suggests 6 ohm speakers, but it also has the
option to bi wire the main speakers, im hoping that will alleviate the
problem? my thinking may be flawed? we will see.

either way its a stand in till digital amplification matures, if it
delivers it stays if its unsuitable i dont mind growing out of it.

it looks like with all this ice amp technology floating around there
should be some digital gear with enough girth floating round in the
coming years. 

As much as i love the idea of valves etc i just cant bring myself to
buy something so inefficent.
