I'm not following you here, Any sound is a pressure wave. The first half cycle of a wave is going to cause the speaker cone to move either towards you or away from you. The second half cycle will, naturally, move it the other way. For a 40Hz signal, it moves towards you 40 times a second. (and away from you 40 times). I could believe that for some set of folks, it makes a difference.
