I like your posts, generally, so please don't take this personally. Here's the thing:
Being an audiophile does not mean that one has to belong to the overly credulous and seriously over-spending crowd. Being an audiophile does not automatically mean that you judge a product by its price tag. Case in point: I've driven $5k amps with a $300 SB3 and thought it was marvey. I believe in research, listening to music, thinking about one's rooms, tastes, and purposes, and always seriously considering budget and value. Some audiophiles are capable of setting up a system for $5-6k (not that that isn't a lot of money) that others can't match for four times that much. I've seen it too often. The thing about the Sooloos that I find rather easy to object to is, then the price. It is severely over-priced for what it is, especially given that it isn't even market-tested and that the technology will swoop by in an instand. Twelve thousand. TWELVE thousand.
