Nice speakers, by the way -- talk about engineering that works toward
getting the room/speaker situation right from the start.

Really, there is no need to go nuts.  I don't have one square inch of
foam in my room -- and my room is far from perfect.  It is, however, a
family living room, so I just have to deal with it.  I did manage to
suggest the purchase of a particularly cushy sofa and chairs...ahem. 
Anyway, back to your speakers: that null is almost certainly due to a
backwave reflection.  You need to pull away from the wall, use
treatments, or both.
