Ok, I understand the setup now :-) FWIW I do agree, one dropout would be one too many. Not having endless disposable income I would be inclined to try a wireless base station next to the squeezebox first. I did recently get a core2duo which is amazing for slimserver and related apps*. Already having a 20" Mccinema display I just got a motherboard and chip for $150, and use windows2K *screenshot of E6300 dual cores running slimserver with inguz eq on normal correction, ripping a cd with EAC in secure mode, encoding the tracks to FLAC (the peaks), five Mozillas and one Photoshop.
