While Phil is probably a tad biased on this, and I do see the wink, he's got a point. Especially in high end, audiophile stuff, I believe you have to listen to it. There is lots of subjective stuff in this space. Whether they are local, or a good remote dealer (like Mercenary Audio), you get what you pay for. And for this, I think you need dealer service. The dealer has to get paid for the service, so don't beat them out of every last nickel of profit. While I don't know anything about Bel Canto other than this thread, dealers have costs.
