I realize it might make you  feel good to get on your high horse, but
in this case, the person you are taking to task is clearly not a native
english speaker, so maybe a little less self-righteousness would be in
order. 

It would be pretty easy for a non-native speaker to think that was what
this thread was about. Whining meta-threads about the content of other
threads are pretty unusual, after all.
