One other thing I should point out, in regard to our points above, I used to have the PSB Gold's in my audio room, but ended up putting them in the home theater system. I like near field listening, the Energy's just sounded better in that type of environment. Plus the PSB's are big speakers and move a lot of air, particularily with 500 watts pushing them. Which made them much better suited for the larger familly room.
