Haven't had time to go through the entire thread, but it looks like
this wasn't covered.

EAC-to-FLAC preserves the HDCD data.  I have a Marantz SR8400 receiver
which is HDCD capable - if I send the audio digitally with the digital
volume at full and ReplayGain disabled, the HDCD indicator lights when
playing HDCD rips.
