Reading through all the posts, I still haven't been able to decipher whether the additional HDCD data is being recovered during this conversion to a 24 bit wav. Has anyone tried to convert a non-HDCD track, and compared it to the original? Is there a difference between converted HDCD tracks and converted non-HDCD tracks? or are we simply increasing the bit depth of the 16 bit redbook stream to 24 bit?
