sigh !! that's what I was afraid of ... so I guess there isn't a way to get HDCD data off a CD using a software based approach after all .... BTW is HDCD even alive anymore? Its almost impossible to find any info on the Microsoft website anymore. WRT to bit perfect burning, try Burrrn ( http://www.burrrn.net/?page_id=4 )on a PC or Roxio Toast Titanium 7 or 8 on a Mac. They both work fine, and the HDCD info is retained in each case. I guess unless someone can come up with something conclusive to the contrary, we should terminate this and all other threads regarding software based HDCD decoding - we seem to be going in circles ! (I think a couple of threads at head-fi and hydrogen audio have also come to similar conclusions) -- Nikhil ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Nikhil's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=993 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=32967 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
