I used a Nuendo Steinberg (RME 24/96) and an a M-Audio 24/96 PCI card
and various cd players including Linn CD12 & Ikemi, Esoteric (I think
it was a x-01 not totally sure) with & without a Chord DAC 64, a Naim
CDs3 and the model before that and a dCS Elgar+Verdi (I think) - this
was all  a while ago...

I'm not a big fan of upsampled CD's. I've yet to hear any concrete
improvement in upsamplimg material from 44.1 to anything. I have a
96Khz upsampling DAC but run it at 44.1 - to me it sounds no different.
Recording at 24/96 is clearly way better!
